TitleLetter from S[amuel] B[otsford] Buckley, Austin, Texas, USA, to [Henry Bowman Brady]
Date[1874]
DescriptionWould have answered Brady's letter sooner had he been able to find the Fusulina Brady wanted in the state collection. He could not as the geological survey had been suspended years before, but it was about to begin again under Buckley. Found Fusulina in the northern part of Texas in abundance in 1861, but could not find those specimens, which he believes were destroyed during the American Civil War. Will examine the coal deposits in the summer and send them to Brady in the winter, if that is not too late. Thanks Brady for geological papers he had sent him.
