TitleLetter from Henry J[ohn] Carter, the Cottage, Budleigh Salterton, Devon, to H[enry] B[owman] Brady
Date23 April 1888
DescriptionThanks Brady for a note of welcome and for a report on foraminifera in the soundings of a German expedition to the Abrolhos bank, which as Brady said was now (underlined) chiefly of value in a geographical point of view. Believes it very fortunate that Brady reclaimed the plates for the drawings as his [Brady's] identifications will always be a more acceptable and valuable contribution to the subject. Is happy that the copy of his papers reached Brady, and that he hopes to derive pleasure from reading them. Discusses his latest findings. Hopes Brady is in good health and believes that considering the weather on the Continent, he did well in staying in England.
