TitleLetter from [Alfred] [John] Jukes-Browne, Dinton, Salisbury, to [Henry Bowman] Brady
Date17 June 1890
DescriptionThanks Brady for his prompt examination and report on a slide, and says it settled an important and interesting question for the rock is a peculiar one and only occurs in blocks on (or in) the top of Bissex Hill and he was not certain that it belonged to the oceanic series. Discusses microscopical findings and other rocks associated with Bissex Hill. Will not send him any samples (or any of Frank's rain washings) yet as he knows how Brady has more than can attend to at the moment. As their paper cannot be read before November, any notes Brady can add from the examination can be inserted any time before it is put in the printers' hands. Asks a question on small white spherical bodies common in some parts of the chalk.
