TitleLetter from John Murray, Challenger Expedition Office, 47 Frederick Street, Edinburgh, to [Henry Bowman] Brady
Date17 July 1890
DescriptionOnly returned from four months in Algeria in the past week, where he recovered his health. Is sorry to learn of Brady's illness in the past winter, and hopes he is now much better. Will be delighted to present from papers to the Royal Society of Edinburgh, but has doubts to what the Society will do about the illustrations. Knows the Society has spent too much on plates (£250) and that there is an understanding that the cost of illustrations should be kept down for some time in the future. They cannot be presented until December, and that he will do what he can in the meantime.
