TitleLetter from T[homas] Rupert Jones, Geological Society, Burlington House, to [Henry Bowman Brady]
Date18 May [1874-1890]
DescriptionThought about the dates and got to the bottom of it: they [?] had two editions of the book, one dated Moscow 1830 and the other 1837 and in both found the same inscription (transcribed in French). Believes that when he [?] referred to plate XIII of Fossils in his paper, he expected the book to soon be published but the government had all the books inspected before publication and that may have helped to cause the delay. Their 'edition of 1837 is also dated 1830 = 1837.'
