Title | Letter from Patrick Manson, 21 Queen Anne Street, Cavendish Square, to Ambrose Thomas Stanton |
Date | 26 October 1907 |
Description | Manson was glad to have Stanton's letter and learn of the progress of the experiment. Manson relays an idea he has had which may be worth trying (that beriberi might be the sequel to an infection), even if it only leads to negative results. Describes a method taking daily blood samples from new patients in order to back-track when beriberi appears later. Manson hopes that Stanton is well, using his mosquito net and limiting his drinking water. |
