DescriptionNegatives, black and white photographic prints, and slides depicting lunar samples and analytical data of lunar samples from the USSR moon missions Luna 16, 20, and 24.

Photographs and most slides are annotated with a sample number, sample numbers begin with the mission number, Luna mission samples are sometimes prefixed by an L (L16, L20, L24). All the black and white photographic prints are of Luna 24 samples (numbers 24125, 24196 and 24090).

The slides include images of samples and of graphs and analytical data and relate to all three Luna missions mentioned.

Also includes some manuscript notes in the form of lists of sample images divided by film roll, which list: an image number, a sample number and in some cases a magnification figure and exposure time.
