DescriptionCorrespondence and papers relating to the transfer, custody, preparation and analysis of Apollo 15 lunar samples, and analysis of consortium samples 14267 and 15015,15, with completed sample history forms. Includes four diagrams of the cutting and chipping of lunar rock samples 15556, 15595, 15465 and 15498, and a cutting plan for consortium sample 15015 with diagrams and details of sample preparation. In a letter 19 October 1971 AL Burlingame of the University of California mentions that 15015 was the only glass covered rock to be returned from the Apollo 15 mission, and would be the sample most free from contamination.
