Includes sample allocations to Principle Investigators in the consortium, and a description of the cutting and chipping of 60016. Includes sampling information with a description, sample orientation and sampling procedure for each sub-sample. Six photographs show samples 60016,38 (two photos), 60016,48, 60016,42, 60016,51 and 60016,25 with handwritten notes relating to the weights of pieces. Includes Stuart Agrell's 'Preliminary notes on 60016'. Multiple copies of description of the minerology of the sample. Also includes cutting plan with labelled sketch. In a letter to John Wood, Geoffrey Eglinton had specified what type of material the consortium would find useful from Apollo 16; "it is preferable that the sample be a friable soil clod rather than a light matrix rock containing black clasts."
