| Description | Black and white photographic prints and photographic slides mostly depicting lunar samples, instruments and facilities as well as a smaller number of mission photographs. Primarily relating to Apollo 12 and 15 manned moon missions and resulting sample research.
Some photographs are annotated with a sample number, sample numbers begin with the mission number, Apollo mission samples are sometimes prefixed with an A (A12, A15). Most of the identified photographs of lunar samples are of Apollo 12 sample number 12023,7.
Other photographs have an official NASA reference number and accompanying list or caption identifying the subject matter.
Many of the photos however are unlabelled and the subject matter has not been identified. It might be possible to find further information about photographs in the camera log books and sample data notebooks by [see MS/926/4] |
