TitleLetter from Albert Howard, Windways, Heversham, Milnthorpe, Westmorland, to Charles Vernon Boys, St Marybourne, Andover, Hampshire
Date5 December 1941
DescriptionThanks Boys for news of his activities. Howard is glad that he liked 'The Agricultural Testament' and discusses Boys's plans for hen runs to fertilise his soil. He thinks that Boys should send a second letter to 'Nature' on the subject, if he gets a definite result. Considers that 'the high priests of agricultual science' depend too much on higher mathematics, rather than on animal behaviour. Comments on nettles protecting hedges. Howard's book has been reviewed widely and the best has been by Sir Frederick Keeble, which he encloses, with two pamphlets.
