TitleDraft letter from Charles Vernon Boys, to the Editor of the Mathematical Gazette
Daten.d. [c.1935]
DescriptionBegs the Editor for a column of the subject of his pamphlet 'The Natural Logarithm' which the reviewer dealt with very clearly and fairly in July. He had cut out much of the text relating to topics in the reviewer's later criticism and goes on to explain the omissions and the reasons for them, chiefly that he expected readers to be bored with obvious proofs. 'Treating the work as a kite I thought it might have a better chance of flying if unessential dead weight was removed'.
