TitleLetter from H Roland and G Thiel, Deutsche Versuchs-Anstalt fur Handfeuerwaffen, Berlin-Grunewald, to Charles Vernon Boys, London
Date3 September 1894
DescriptionThey have read descriptions of experiments in photographing shots through air by Boys and by Professor Mach. They ask if fuller descriptions of Boys's experiments are available. They wish to elucidate the shooting of small shot projectiles through various bores. They are disappointed by the French report. It would be of importance to them to have details of the difference in behaviour between cylinder bores and chokes, from the muzzle to at least 10 to 15 yards' distance.
