TitleLetter from Robert Williams Wood, Holderness, New Hampshire, to Charles Vernon Boys
Date6 September 1901
DescriptionHe has heard nothing further about his paper on dispersion of sodium which Boys placed with the Royal Society Committee. If it is not presented he hopes it can go to the Physical Society, but they should not remove the colour plate. Describes his work on the coloured films of metallic sodium and speculates on the structures involved. He will set out to prove his idea once he returns to Baltimore. Notes the extraordinary spectrum he has obtained from nitrosodimethylamine.
