TitleLetter from William Ramsay, FRS, Beechcroft, Hazlemere, Bucks, to James Mackenzie Davidson
Date17 February 1915
DescriptionEncourages Mackenzie Davidson to consider the suggestion that he take £100 of shares in 'New Oxydol Products Ltd.'. Notes that he wants Mackenzie Davidson among the shareholders both because he is a friend and because his medical knowledge would be useful in circulating ideas. Also informs Mackenzie Davidson that he has been trying silicon as an electrode, and it turns out that while as cathode it lets current pass, as anode it is a non-conductor. Asks Mackenzie Davidson his opinion on this, and whether a perfect rectifier would be of use in X-ray work.
