TitleLetter from A. F. Spooner, Chartered Patent Agent, 323 High Holborn, London, to James Mackenzie Davidson
Date2 December 1907
DescriptionRefers to the 'mercury break'. Informs Mackenzie Davidson that Messrs Siements made an appointment to discuss the subject, and asked about the approximate turn out in the past, the prices Cox had charged, as well as for a specimen break to be sent down to his works at Woolwich. Asks if Mackenzie Davidson can supply such a thing. Explains that the suggestions boil down to: 1. they become the sole licenses for the British Isles, 2. they keep pace with the demand and supply on a requirement basis, 3. the license is granted for the whole residue of the term of the patent, 4. they have the option of terminating the license if they choose, or 5. license to contain all usual and reasonable clauses as to marking of goods, keeping and inspecting accounts etc. Asks for Mackenzie Davidson's opinion.
