TitleLetter from Helena Gleichen, St James's Place, to James Mackenzie Davidson
Date22 December 1917
DescriptionApologises that she has not yet met Mackenzie Davidson while London. Notes that people who previously paid her no attention are now desirous of her company, which is flattering though wearing. Asks Mackenzie Davidson how his hand is feeling. Describes to him an evening where she and Nina were called to work late at the hospital, however, upon arrival found ten surgeons who wanted to congratulate them on their valore medals. The men knew they wouldn't have come unless it was disguised as work related. Tells of the speeches given and the fact that, when she tried to thank the men, she was too choked with tears.
