TitleLetter from 'John', Department of Statistics, School of Mathematics, University of Newcastle Upon Tyne to M S Bartlett
Date5 April 1978
DescriptionJohn writes to say how sorry he is to hear about the 'fuss' over Bartlett's read paper. He writes that the Editors of Series B were not informed and that the Council [of the Royal Statistical Society] handled the entire procedure itself.
John writes that the decision by Council to publish footnotes to Bartlett's paper credits neither Society nor the Journal and irritates him even more as he is joint editor.
