DescriptionFile of correspondence regarding a biography of E A Milne, written by Mrs Weston-Smith, with a letter to Bartlett from Milne's daughter, Meg Weston Smith. The file includes drafts of letters to Weston-Smith by Bartlett. In the letters Bartlett recalls his professional links with Milne, namely involvement with the Ordnance Board during World War Two. Bartlett reflects on the similarities between Eddington and Milne.

Also included are comments by Frank Anscombe on two reports written by Milne about tactial defence systems (wire barrage; anti-aircraft fire), c.1941; and a 1941 letter of response to this report from Milne, addressed The Ordnance Board, Chislehurst, Kent.

Also included is correspondence between Bartlett and Roger Penrose FRS in response to Penrose's talk at the Royal Society on 'The puzzles of cosmology and quantum theory', 1991.
