DescriptionFurther observations on the temperatures in the Faroe Channel would undoubtedly be interesting and valuable. The Royal Society itself does not possess any deep sea thermometers, those used by the 'Triton' are in the custody of John Murray, Challenger Office, 32 Queen Street, Edinburgh, who may be able to lend some instruments.
