DescriptionWilliamson as Foreign Secretary of the Royal Society presents his compliments to the United States Minister and asks if he will forward to Allegheny the Rumford Medal of the Royal Society, awarded to Professor Samuel Pierpoint Langley for eminent scientific achievements. A gold medal is sent together with a silver copy of the same.
