TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Mr Dawkins, Willis's Rooms
Date30 December 1886
DescriptionIn reply to Dawkins' letter of 18 December [1886] which Rix has laid before the Treasurer, John Evans, Rix reminds Dawkins that hitherto the number of guests expected has never previously been regarded as a firm order. In the Society's dealings with Messrs Willis's house it has always been understood that the Society was responsible only for the guests whose names were furnished by them before hand to the doorkeeper. Rix asks that Willis's Rooms reconsider their decision and send a corrected account for £18-7-6. Upon receipt of this he will immediately send a cheque for said amount.
