TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Michael Foster
Date3 November 1894
DescriptionThere are only four papers in hand, last session there were 15 at this date. One of the referees on [William Miller] Ord and [Samuel George] Shattock suggests withdrawl so Rix will not put the paper down for reading. Hopkins' paper has never been sent to any referee but it is communicated by Lankester. Rix supposes they may take that paper and [Henry Hortaio] Dixon & [John] Joly for the first meeting.

The Foreign Secretary, [Joseph Lister] has written to Cleve and Professor Thorpe has also written privately.

Rix now has copies of the Water Report and asks if they ought be sent to the County Council or elsewhere.

Foster owed 16/7 for luncheons during the past session. Encloses a letter to the Swedish Minister [see NLB/10/270] and asks if Foster or the Foreign Secretary will sign it.
