DescriptionIn the absence of the Secretary [Michael Foster], who is abroad, Rix is instructed to inform Hanotaux that Mr W T Thiselton-Dyer, Director of the Royal Gardens at Kew, is deputed to represent the Royal Society at the funeral of Pasteur, whose death the Society deplores as one of their Foreign Members and as one of the most brilliant ornaments of the scientific world.
