Title | Copy letter from Michael Foster, to Sir Thomas Henry Sanderson, Foreign Office, S.W. |
Date | 4 November 1895 |
Description | In reply to Sanderson's letter of 16th October enclosing a communication from the Swedish and Norwegian Minister in London in reference to the proposed conference on the publication of a Catalogue of Scientific Literature and enquiring whether more than one delegate should be sent, Foster is directed to say that it is intended to leave the number of delegates to be sent entirely to the decision of the country itself.
As Foster indicated in his letter to the Marquis of Salisbury on 15th August, it is expected that delegates will be persons interested and skilled in the subject under discussion, able by their special knowledge to assist the conference in its deliberations.
In case of decision being put to the vote some adjustment between voting power and the number of delegates sent must be made. |
