Title | Copy letter from Michael Foster, to Dr George Murray, Natural History Museum |
Date | 9 December 1895 |
Description | Foster has learnt from Sir John Kirk that there is nothing in his letters to show that one of the two 'premier collections' spoken of in Foster's letter to Sir William Flower is better than the other, and in fact they are made to be as near to equal value as possible. The Council of the Royal Society will therefore determine which shall go to the British Museum and which to Kew [Gardens]. To allow this to be carried out, Foster asks that both sets, once completed, be sent to them at Burlington House. |
