Title | Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to William Turner Thiselton Dyer, Fellow of the Royal Society, Chairman of the House & Soiree Committee |
Date | 29 January 1896 |
Description | Rix does not know if the precise functions of the House and Soiree Committee have been defined by the Council, but he reports that the custom is for the February meeting to be used to recommend dates for the two principal soirees, to decide the amount the Council recommend is spent, to appoint a sub-committee for the arrangement of exhibits, and to revise the list of invitations.
If Dyer requires a more explicit statement, Rix will refer his query to the Secretaries. |
