| Description | Rix promises to provide all the assistance he can and not make difficulties. He does not wish to prevent Armstrong consulting directly with Mr White on points of detail about classifying and modes of printing; however, he does insist that everything is addressed to him, so that he knows what is happening to allow him to manage the office's workload, and also to prevent delays. He explains that he visits the printers early in the morning and late in the evening, so is able to put matters in hand before White even arrives in the office. Rix recalls a couple of instances where two or three hours have been lost due to matters not coming directly into his hands.
Rix clarifies that the point he makes is one of practicality and not of dignity. |
