Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor James Dewar, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 23 May 1896 |
Description | Harrison, at the request of the Soiree Committe, asks if Dewar would be willing to assist by giving a short demonstration at the next Soiree on 10 June, as the Committee believe that a demonstration of his experiment of the combustion of diamond in liquid air would be of interest.
If Dewar is willing, Harrison asks what time of evening after 9.30 would best suit the demonstration, as it has been arranged for exhibits in the lecture room to be given at half hour intervals from that time. Harrison asks that if his answer is affirmative, that he complete the enclosed schedule in the following two or three days. |
