DescriptionAcknowledges receipt of the Under Secretary of State's letter of the 9th enclosing a copy of a telegram from the Governor of Cape Colony stating that his Ministers are anxious for a reply regarding the Rinderpest enquiry by the Royal Society. A meeting on the subject was held yesterday and a letter embodying the recommendations of the Society will reach the Secretary of State within the next few days.
