DescriptionHarrison acknowledge's Kalischer's letter of the 21st, and is directed to say in reply that the Council of the Royal Society will not place any obstacle in the way of Kalischer publishing a translation of the paper by Clerk Maxwell in the 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]'. The only condition they would impose would be that he should acknowledge in a footnote the source of the publication.
