Title | Copy letter from Arthur William Rucker, to Joseph Norman Lockyer, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | [June 1897] |
Description | Rucker is instructed to inform Lockyer that in the opinion of the referees, the amount of detail given in Lockyer's paper on the eclipse of 9 August 1896, is unnecessarily great. In particular it is questioned whether it is necessary to give the names of all the observers where services could not as a matter of fact be utilized. Rucker is therefore to ask if Lockyer could see his way to somewhat reducing the length of the paper. If so he will send the paper to Lockyer for revision. |
