TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to H Goldie Wilson
Date18 July 1898
DescriptionWith reference to Wilson's letter of the 15th July and accompanying invoice for £1.5 for five negatives, Harrison explains the Society has no knowledge of the memorandum of 12th January mentioned, nor any record of having agreed to pay any extra charge for preparing fresh negatives, which would be quite opposed to the Society's practice. All bills paid by the Society for colotyping are taken to cover the entire expense of the job to the time of delivering the plates complete to the Society's printers.

The Society pays per 1000 copies of each plate including all expenses. The account Wilson refers to was originally sent in, drawn up at the rage of five guineas per 100, and that being more than the Society are accustomed to pay for similar work, they claimed and obtained a reduction to £5 per 1000. On that basis the bill was paid.
