TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Sir William Huggins, [Fellow of the Royal Society]
Date19 December 1899
DescriptionProfessor Lebon's book has been delivered to the Society and is being acknowledged in the usual way with an official letter of thanks. There is no necessity for a presentation book to be introduced by a Fellow, but he thinks that if perhaps there were some such rules, the library might be spared a good many works which publishers and authors send but which are very often not of a kind to occupy a place on the Society's shelves.
