|Date||4 February 1888|
|Description||States that an official request for a supplementary report was deemed unnecessary as it was understood that Murray had agreed to provide one in the Committee meeting. |
Foster is instructed to ask that Murray meet the committee and discuss how expenditure of the [Challenger] report might be kept to the original estimate. Foster asks Murray to let him know when he can come to London so that a meeting of the committee can be arranged.
