TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor George Gabriel Stokes, Principal of the Royal Society
Date14 December 1887
DescriptionCorrects the impression that Dr Williamson had not reecieved a book of drawings, as Williamson has acknowledged receipt of the two pocket books of drawings, and instead had informed the Royal Society that he had not received a small ten page manuscript. Rix notes that he has personally searched the Society archives and is sure that it is not there, and furthermore states his belief that it never was there. Rix states that there was nothing in Stokes' despatch box with matches the missing manuscript.
