TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Mr Burns, Free Public Library, Fulham S.W.
Date23 May 1888
DescriptionRix will see that an invitation to the next Royal Society Soirée is sent to Mr and Mrs Fisher, and notes that this is in return for the trouble Burns is taking to provide the Society with an exhibit, with invitations being more restricted for this Soirée than at the May event.

Rix records that the Soirée Committee have definitely accepted his exhibit, and that the expense including carriage should not exceed one guinea. Rix apologises for any restrictions caused, but refers to the small sum available for Soirées by the Society and the honorary nature of the exhibits. If the money available is insufficient for the original exhibit proposed, he can move from the centre table to a smaller end table in the library instead.
