Title | Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Joseph Norman Lockyer, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 4 June 1888 |
Description | Mr Soper's note on Rix's behalf was intended to express that Rix believed that Lockyer only wished to display his lantern exhibit if there was a great need, and the presence of three other dark exhibits meant that this need could not be demonstrated. If Lockyer is willing though, they would be glad to have his exhibit, especially given the prominence of his subject matter. Mr Seeley Taylor's [?] exhibit is likely to be a short one, and so the Royal Society can make the hours 9.30, 10.00, 10.20 and 10.45. |
