TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Michael Foster [Royal Society]
Date3 January 1888
DescriptionHas had the summonses for the Government Grant Administration Committee written and they are ready for posting. Asks whether the committee will consist of the present council with past Presidents of the Royal Society, and notes that he will not post the summonses until this point has been answered. Rix points out that technically the committee does not exist, but that it is likely to be re-appointed at the next Society Council meeting, and their minutes of 12th be voted as valid.

Will be able to get the precis into type for distribution, but not with the summonses.
