DescriptionIn response to their letter of 29 September, Rix states that the Library Committee have considered their application for replacement for the missing volumes of 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society', and have decided not replace it to until the Smithsonian Institution have undertaken a further search. Rix asks to be informed whether a thorough search has been made, and if there is any likelihood of the volumes being found.
