DescriptionRix is instructed to inform Walker, that a meeting of the Royal Society Council decided to grant permission for him to borrow the Herschel manuscript for the use of the Kew Committee. Also enclosed in the parcel is a book which Walker borrowed from the Library.

A postscript notes that there are two volumes of manuscript besides the printed book.
