Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor William Dobinson Halliburton, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 23 March 1900 |
Description | Is sending a copy of the agenda for next Friday's meeting [not enclosed]. Professor [Paul] Ehrlich is anxious to have his Croonian Lecture published in the '[Philosophical] Transactions [of the Royal Society]' and it is down for consideration. To save time Sir M Foster suggests it provisionally be sent to referees and suggests Drs [John Rose] Bradford and Sidney Martin. Asks if Halliburton concurs.
The paper on scurvy was communicated by the President and has therefore been accepted for reading and the 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]', but since Halliburton is having a meeting shortly, Lister thinks publication might be held over till the Committee have confirmed it.
Dr Leonard Hill's paper was received yesterday. Asks if Halliburton can suggest names of provisional referees, or whether he will keep the whole matter for Committee. |
