TitleCopy letter from Arthur William Rucker, to Michael Foster, [Fellow of the Royal Society]
Date25 April 1900
DescriptionSends a paper by Eliot with Lockyer's letter. [Joseph Norman] Lockyer's paper is postponed but Lockyer has protested against this decision. The Committee of Papers must consider the matter next week. Meanwhile they must treat Elliot as independent. Queries Foster's opinion of [Alexander] Buchan or [Arthur] Schuster as referees. Thinks they ought to tell the referees that the paper must be considered as part of the General Eclipse work.
