TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor William Dobinson Halliburton, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date25 September 1900
DescriptionEncloses a letter and paper from Dr Edington [not enclosed]. The original paper would have made about 45 pages of the 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]', and the resolution of the Committee upon it was that it be suggested Edington withdraw his paper and substitute it for a short communication for the 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]' embodying the main results he has obtained. Asks if he can proceed with the publication in its abbreviated form or whether it should be submitted to the referee who recommended the abbreviation.
