TitleCopy letter from Michael Foster, to C P Lucas, Assistant Under Secretary of State, Colonial Office
Date5 January 1901
DescriptionIn reply to Lucas' letter of 7 August 1900 asking for his opinion of the work of Aeneas Munro on the 'Locus Plate and its Suppression' Foster has consulted competent persons and they fully confirm the opinion which Foster has formed, that the book though interesting in many respects, cannot be said to be of scientific interest. The review in 'Nature' for 15 November is very fair and Foster will return the book.
