Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor [William Dobinson] Halliburton, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 25 June 1901 |
Description | Halliburton's joint 'Philosophical Transactions [at the Royal Society]' paper is in hand, but he cannot go ahead of the engravers. Although it was recommended for publication by the Sectional Committee in May, the Council didn't approve it until 20 June, and it is custom to wait. Collings had the black and white figures on the 17 June, but his hands are very full. Halliburton's wishes regarding the coloured figures are being carried out. The composing of the paper must wait for the delivery of the blocks.
Harrison does not take Halliburton's letter as a very definite authority to print Dr Gamgee's paper in 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]'. |
