DescriptionEncloses at the direction of the Chairman, draft resolutions concerning two papers and another matter, within the province of the Zoology Committee. Also encloses the reports of the referees upon the papers. Will be obliged if, provided Herdman supports the resolutions, he will sign and return the minutes, together with the referee's reports. Enclosed resolutions concern publication of Dr Kyle's paper 'On the Action of the Spurge (Euphorbia hiberna, L.) on Salmonoid Fishes', and Dr Simpson's papers, 'Preliminary Notes on a New Method of Reproduction in the Case of the Genus Amoeba' and, 'The Relation of Binary Fission and Conjugation to Variation'. Also encloses a resolution concerning the award of the Gunning Fund to Dr [William Halse Rivers] Rivers for his proposed Southern India expedition.
