DescriptionMarkham's letter of 10 November was laid before the Council, and Foster is directed to assure him that the President and Council quite agree with the proposal that the arrangements for the Relief Expedition should be left entirely in the hands of the Royal Geographical Society.

President and Council also express the most cordial wishes for the success of his endeavours.
