Description | Larmor and Foster are instructed to request that the Government make a formal application to the Imperial Russian Government for the loan of a two and a half metre Geodetic Standard and necessary apparatus, now deposited at the Observatory of Pulkova. The Standard is intended for use by the Expedition which is being led by Dr Rubin for the measurement of the Zambesi-Tanganyika arc of the thirtieth meridian. |
