TitleCopy letter sent from Joseph Larmor and Archibald Geikie, to The Honorable Secretaries, The Royal Geographical Society
Date15 December 1903
DescriptionRegarding their letter of 27 November, while generally agreeing, subject to some small amendments, of the draft letters to the Admiralty and Captain Scott, President and Council would suggest for consideration whether and upon what terms the Royal Geographical Society would undertake to refit, coal and provision the 'Discovery' to enable her to return to England. It seems they would be prepared, subject to some pecuniary guarantee, such as first charge on the sale of the 'Discovery'.

If they object, then it would seem desirable that the Antarctic Finance Committee should be asked whether they have any objection to the draft letter to Captain Scott which deals with financial matters.
